Leah Smith

Hi, I’m Leah! I started in MEC in May as an Account Executive on all things Vodafone. I studied Marketing in college and worked as a Marketing assistant with Lily O Brien’s for one year before getting the travel bug. I spent two years travelling around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia while also working in various temp roles to help fund my trips. I am really enjoying MEC and agency life so far and am looking forward to hopefully working on some innovative campaigns.

Hello, I’m Niamh and I recently joined MEC as an Account Executive in April this year. In the last 3 months I have been lucky enough to work with some very exciting clients such as General Mills, Paramount Pictures and Beiersdorf. Not long before I started at MEC I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a Master’s of Science in Marketing and 12 months previous, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the Institute of Technology, Sligo. As a recent graduate, I feel incredibly fortunate to start my career here at MEC and experience all that agency life has to offer. The team have been so welcoming and have taught me so much already. If the first 3 months are anything to go by, I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the rest of 2016.

I’m really happy to have joined the digital team in MEC as Social Community Manager. I began my career in advertising through a client services internship at creative agency, Target McConnells, almost 4 years ago. From there, I found that my interests lay primarily in social. Compared to traditional advertising platforms, it’s still relatively new and quite exciting. It’s becoming widely understood that social isn’t a platform to treat as a ‘nice to have’ or an add-on. It requires its very own thought, care and strategy, in order for it to complement your campaign sufficiently alongside other chosen channels. Previously, I’ve worked across brands such as Vodafone, Tesco, An Post, Knorr and McCain. At the moment I’m working on General Mills and Concha y Toro. I am looking forward to seeing how social media progresses as an advertising platform, and I’m excited to work on some great campaigns at MEC.
